Paul was Amazing. I was hosting a celebration of life for my dad and I went in to talk to Paul about a flower arrangement. I explained the flowers that my dad loved And how he is kind of a rustic man. Paul put together the most beautiful flower arrangement in the most perfect basket. We had so many compliments on the flowers!!! I highly recommend Nielsen Flower Shop.

Personalized service for my father’s funeral. Floral arrangements were beautiful and on time.

The owner is very rude and abrasive. Went in to ask about a bouquet just for me for my private wedding. First, he told us just a second and went in to the back, and then came out to talk to us a few minutes later. I said when my wedding was he said what was the date? I had to repeat it to him a second time and he said nope! Absolutely cannot make that work since it is around Mother’s Day (despite it being 1.5 months away). A single bouquet!! Couldn’t redirect me anywhere or anything like that. Better service at Hyvee than this guy… if I could give 0 stars I would. Want to support small local businesses like this but when you take a gamble on customer service like this it’s not worth it. Wish I didn’t walk into the store to begin with.

My sons wanted to purchase a Thanksgiving center piece for our family gathering and their mother's birthday. They went to Nielsen's and picked one that was pre-made with 1 candle. They really wanted a 2 candle item. The employee/owner said he could make one up in just a couple of minutes... and he did. My son said the guy whistled while worked and came out with this beautiful center piece. Thanks, Nielsen Flower Shop, for another pleasant shopping experience at your business. Love the product and the customer service. Cam

Great service and beautiful flowers! I ordered the designer choice arrangement online for a friend staying at a hotel in Urbandale, and the delivery went smoothly the next day. She loved the colorful arrangement, and it’s great to support a local business!
